All you need to do is wash your fruit (and greens, if you use them), pop them into your blender (I LOVE my VitaMix), give it a good whirl (about a minute is all you need), pour your healthy smoothie in your drinking container, rinse your blender and off you go.

  • 1 cup of soy milk (if you want to save calories, you can use plain water )

That’s all: I blended it all for about 45 seconds, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast smoothie: it was creamy, chocolatey, and with bits of date for some texture (I wanted it this way. If you prefer it all smooth, just blend it 30 more seconds).

Strawberry vanilla smoothie

If you don’t like chocolate, or would rather have a vanilla flavored smoothie, use the vanilla vitality blend with some cashews and strawberries. Oh, that sounds absolutely heavenly! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 scoopvanilla vitality blend
  • 2 tablespoons raw cashews (these will give you some much needed protein and make your smoothie very creamy)
  • 1 cup strawberries (both fresh and frozen will work)
  • 1 teaspoon of raw organic honey

Again just mix everything and blend for about a minute. Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!

Raspberry banana spinach smoothie

Green smoothies are very popular and for a good reason. Hide some greens to your smoothies, and you won’t even know they are there.

  • 1/2 ripe banana (best if it’s spotted and really sweet)
